We have seen our investigators change so much over the past few weeks for example Ernie, he said he was fine where he was at but through service he has invited us in and know he loves us to come over and to teach him about God. He has been reading the Book of Mormon and he has felt the spirit really strongly and wants to come to church with us. all of our other investigators are doing well and trying to help them overcome some of there word of wisdom issues so they can be baptized.
Study
I have been studaying recently on faith and how the book of mormon answers every question. Throughout the whole book of mormon there is faith and it has strenghtened my faith and I have seen miracles that have come of it.
Invitations to be Baptized
Yeah we ususally invite people to be baptized on the first lesson, depends on how ready they are, most of the time we would say
As you read the Book of Mormon and when you gain that witness that it is true will you follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized by someone holding the proper authority. we set a date or goal to work towards too. Then we ask them will you prepare yourself for that day. something like that. Thats what I thought that it would scare people off but it has not yet even for people that don't really like to be pushed. yeah that is what we are trained to do. but most importantly we teach by the spirit and follow the spirits promptings and teach according to there needs. if we are prompted not to do it, than we won't but most of the time we invite them to be baptized.
